Introduction

The Hill of Braco planning application has now been submitted to Aberdeenshire Council. Hard copies of the application can be viewed at Hatton Post Office, and at the Council Office in Peterhead (Arbuthnot House). The planning application can be viewed here. CD copies are being issued to each of the community councils that sit on the Community Liaison Group (CLG) as requested for people to view.

The initial Hill of Braco Wind Farm layout comprised 12 turbines with tip heights of 125m, resulting in an installed capacity of 30MW.  Following completion of our design and assessment work and feedback received via the consultation process, our final turbine layout comprises 8 turbines with tip heights of 100m resulting in an installed capacity of 20MW.

Community

PNE WIND UK has created a Community Liaison Group (CLG) to ensure that the proposed development involves local people and takes account of their concerns. You can find your CLG members here. CLG minutes area also available to download below. For more information regarding community development please contact our community engagement team on 0131 243 9162/9165, or via email to info@pnewind.co.uk.

Keeping you Informed

As part of its extensive engagement programme, PNE held two rounds of public exhibitions in 2012 to present the proposal to the public. In May 2012 we held our first round of exhibitions with events in Longside, Longhaven and Hatton. Our second round of exhibitions were held in Longside and Hatton. The information that was on display at the exhibitions is available to download below.

Good Neighbour

We were pleased to be one of the sponsors of Hatton Fireworks Night and would welcome further suggestions how we can be a good neighbour.
