Updated Proposals for Meikle Hill Wind Farm

PNE WIND UK has been working with the local community, key stakeholders and the Moray Council regarding proposals to develop Meikle Hill Wind Farm since 2013. Following extensive public consultation, PNE first submitted a planning application to the Moray Council in June 2014.

The original application comprised ten wind turbines with a tip height of 126.5m and the proposal was reduced to nine turbines in December 2014. Following further consultation with the Moray Council, PNE has now decided to reduce the proposal to six turbines in order to further limit the potential landscape and visual impacts of the proposed wind farm.

PNE are hopeful that the current plans will require no further amendments and that the reduced proposal will permit a positive determination from the Moray Council in summer 2015.
