Public Exhibitions for Cowal and Trossachs Forest District Wind Farm- Bachan Burn
Edinburgh based energy company, PNE WIND UK, has announced that it will be hosting two public consultation exhibitions in Dunoon and Rothesay on the 26th and 27th March- providing local residents with the opportunity to review and comment on proposals to develop the Cowal and Trossachs Forest District Wind Farm- Bachan Burn.
Members of the local community are invited to attend the drop-in event, where they will be able to meet the PNE team, learn more about how PNE is working with Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) to develop the proposals and view a 3D computer generated model of the plans.
Having been awarded exclusive rights to investigate the potential for new onshore wind energy projects over 5MW in the Cowal and Trossachs Forest District, PNE has undertaken a range of studies to understand the suitability of the sites in the area, and the exhibitions will provide further information on how the proposals have developed.
Katie Newlands, Communications Manager for PNE WIND UK, commented:
"PNE WIND UK is delighted to be moving forward with plans to develop the Cowal and Trossachs Forest District Wind Farm- Bachan Burn. Following our first drop-in session last year, we have been working to bring forward our initial proposals, which will be on display at the event.
I look forward to welcoming local residents to the exhibition and answering their questions on our plans. We would encourage anyone to come along, meet the members of the team and learn about the benefits that Cowal and Trossachs Forest District Wind Farm- Bachan Burn, can bring to the area."
The PNE public exhibitions will be taking place on:
Wednesday 26 March- 15:00-20:00, The Queens Hall, Dunoon
Thursday 27 March- 11:00-15:00, The Rothesay Pavilion, Rothesay
