Larbrax Wind Farm Proposals Submitted
Edinburgh based renewable energy developer, PNE WIND UK, has submitted a planning application to Dumfries and Galloway Council for an 8- turbine wind farm at Larbrax, on the North Rhins Peninsula.
If consented, the proposals, which are the result of extensive consultation and environmental studies, would have an installed capacity of 20MW and create a community benefit fund of £100,000 per annum throughout the lifespan of the wind farm.
Gemma Hamilton, Project Manager for PNE WIND UK, commented:
"Following extensive and encouraging consultation programme we are pleased to be submitting our plans for Larbrax Wind Farm to Dumfries and Galloway Council. We have worked very closely with local communities and consultees to ensure that the proposals we are bringing forward are appropriate for the location and reflect the feedback we have gathered throughout the development process.
"Throughout the course of our consultation programme we have provided a range of project information through two rounds of public exhibitions, attendance at local events, a project website, newsletter distribution locally and regular meetings with our Community Liaison Group. I would like to thank everyone for their interest in our proposals and local forward to continuing our community involvement as our plans progress."
