Edinburgh based renewable energy company, PNE WIND UK, has announced that it will be hosting public consultation exhibitions in Newton Stewart and Kirkcowan on the 13th and 14th November. The information events will provide an opportunity to learn more about the plans to develop Shennanton Wind Farm, North of Kirkcowan, and give local people a chance to view the updated proposals.

Having held initial exhibitions in early 2013, PNE WIND UK is inviting the community to attend these events and learn more about how the wind farm plans have progressed.  Members of the public will be able to view an
interactive 3D computer generated model of the wind farm and speak to the PNE development team to have their questions answered.

Katherine Newlands, Communications Manager for PNE WIND UK, commented:

“PNE WIND UK is delighted to be moving forward with our plans to develop Shennanton Wind Farm. Since our first public exhibitions earlier this year, we have progressed with our environmental and visual assessments of the site and have continued to keep members of the community updated through regular meetings with local residents and our community liaison group members.

“We are now able to present our updated plans to the community and look forward to hearing their views prior to submitting our application to Dumfries and Galloway Council. I would encourage local residents to pop into our events, meet the team and learn more about the benefits that Shennanton Wind Farm can bring to the local area.”

The PNE public exhibitions are taking place on:

McMillan Hall

Dashwood Square

Thursday 14th November, 4pm – 8pm
